I was working afternoon shift yesterday and at the end of the shift at about 9.15pm we were leaving the office. In order to locked the door, you have to proceed from level 4 to level 1 and when everyone is out, we wait for the staff to lock the and said goodbye.
While were we walking towards the traffic light one of my colleague saw another colleague's husband walking passed and she was thinking to herself that that colleague supposed to work tonight. To her horror, she realise that we left her behind after locking the door.
We rushed to the office and heard someone pounding the door loudly and when we opened the door, there she was standing shivering, frightened and almost wanted to cry. And because she was so frightened she left her bag upstair in the pantry at level 4. 2 of colleagues had to walk her back up to retrieve her bag and then she went home.
This colleague (ok let's name her T) has this bad habit of doing last minute stuff when we were about to close and lock up the office. She would do last minute on checking of email and go to the toilet when everyone have to wait for her.
So it doesn't hurt to keep her locked inside for a while. I hope she would not repeat the same mistake again cos this is like the 2nd time it had happened. If she does then we locked her up the whole night.....Hehe....
