Day 2, 30 March 2008:
Thailand has hard water. I mean those that we use to wash our hands from the tap, for bathing and so forth. Why do I say this. Because when I turn on the tap the water is a bit yellowish in colour. You can feel the quality of the water different from Singapore.
So we wake up in morning to go to the beach. The beach is beautiful. For East Coast Park, when we look afar we can see islands but Patong beach there was just water. It's like a line drawn across the water. But is not as clear as Phi Phi Island and Khai Island.
My hubby was enjoying the water while I took pictures. We didn't really took a lot of pictures. We were soaking in the experience. We even saw half naked women swimming! There are water sports activities that was available like parasailing and jet skiing. In Thailand, everything is chargable from sitting on the beach under their umbrellas to using the hotel internet. Probably because it is a tourist area so they took opportunity for every little things.
Later in the afternoon we went hunting for food. Took the tuk tuk for the first time and went to Jungleceylon, a shopping centre which is just like Takashimaya and we went to Carrefour hoping to find some halal food which we ended up buying instant noodles, cereals and drinks. We also found Muslim working in Carrefour and ask where do they eat for lunch.
They couldn't communicate with us there and ask one of their colleague to inform us to eat at this place called Banzaan on the second floor. He mention that there is 1 stall call Buang Ok that sells delicious food. I tell you that we were estatic to find the stall as we were very hungry.
The place was like a food court except only a few stall were open and out of that few stall about 3 of them was halal. We found the stall that was mention and was happy that the man at the stall could communicate in Malay! There were many people who ordered at his stall but he was happy to chat with us informing us of the menu. We ordered 2 plates of fried rice and also a bowl of tom yum. The meal was superb especially the tom yum soup, really really good.
We thank the man and went to the Banzaan Shopping Centre which is right beside the foodcourt. Well they sell almost the same things that was available in Phuket Town therefore we decided to window shop and went back to the resort.
Later at night it was shopping again in Phuket Town and we had Tom Yum instant noodle for dinner.
