It's my birthday! And we are going to Phi Phi Island and Khai Island. The van picked us up at 7.45am and took us to Chalong Pier which took about 45 min to reach. When we reached, it turns out that there are 3 boats that will be going, each boat accomodating 20 people.
I was on low spirits on that morning because it was raining. and when we finally sat in the boat, my seat was wet which causes me to have a soaking wet buttocks. My hubby was trying to pacify me by telling me that later in the day it would be sunny. And it did get sunnier.
We were going to a few places. 1st stop was Maya Beach which has the beautiful scenery and also the place is where Hollywood movie, 'The Beach' was filmed. It has these hills surrounding the coastline, water was clear and lot of people were swimming, taking pictures. But we did not see any residence at the Island. We has 30 minutes to walk around the beach.
2nd stop, Monkey Beach and Viking Cave. We were allowed to see the monkey but not feed or touch them and the Viking Cave has a shape of a viking.
3rd stop, Loh Samah Bay. My hubby went snorkeling and he saw abundance of marine life and coral reefs. He said the view was fantastic which I really envy.
4th stop lunch at Phi Phi Don. We thought lunch was non-halal. To our surprise most of the Phi Phi Don residents were Muslim and luch was catered by them. Food like sweet and sour fish, chicken and spaghetti were served.
After lunch the last stop was Khai Island. We spent 90 min there and my hubby went snorkeling again while I enjoy the fishes that swam near the coastline.
Overall the boat trip was amazing one. Clear blue waters, marine life and coral reefs that we will never experience in Singapore.
We reach back to Chalong Pier at 4.00pm and reached the resort at 4.45pm. We went out again for seafood and our last minute shopping.
Searching for halal seafood was easy, there is a lot of Cairo restaurant that served seafood. We order crab, clamari, oysters, tom yum and fried rice which cost 1230 baht which is SGD 53 which is half of what I spent if I were to eat in Singapore.
After that last minute shopping and drinks at Starbucks before heading for an hour of foot reflexolgy.
The foot reflexology was a relax one unlike the one that I experience in KL. I really like it because it really puts me to sleep and it cost 250 baht for an hour (SGD 10) . I should have gone for the full body massage but time was not on our side. So we call it a night.
